The evolutionary forces that cause evolution consist of mutation, natural selection, sexual Selection, gene flow, genetic drift, nonrandom (assortative) mating.
Mutation- A permanent alteration in DNA
Natural Selection- Variants that help survival or reproduction become more frequent in the population
Sexual Selection- traits that are appealing to the opposite sex
Gene flow- movement of a species with different genes to another population
Genetic drift- random change in the population for a species
Assortative mating- patterns of negative or positive trends for certain conditions
